The Spanish
Steps in Rome

The fountain in
front of the Spanish Steps.

A street artist
who uses just spray cans of paint.

The man above
has a steel plate under the bottom rug. Then a steel rod runs up
the inside of the bamboo pole. Then it connects to a plate under
his seat. This way it appears that he is floating in air.

The exterior of
the Pantheon.

There is a hole
in the ceiling of the Pantheon that lets in the light. There are
no windows.

The interior of
the Pantheon that is illuminated just by the hole in the
ceiling.

For some unknown
reason a parade went by our hotel.

The Vatican on
Sunday morning. There were zillions of people there. The jumbo
TV to the left of the fountain shows what is happening inside
St. Peter's

The service in
St. Peters does not include the Pope. Rather, he appears after
the service finishes. The Pope is located within the red circle
above. He has a loud speaker system set up. He delivers a 15
minute service from the window.

This is a
close-up photo of the Pope in the window.

A simple lunch
today

A small church
we came across in Rome. There are many like this.

The ceiling in
that small church. The only light for the church is what comes
through the windows in the ceiling dome. There are no other
windows.
